Duties of the Position

The successful candidate will co-teach BUS 545W – Global Wine Business in the Professional MBA program.

Responsibilities include:
- Delivering instruction that integrates global perspectives on the wine industry, including market entry, international branding, supply       chain logistics, and leadership challenges.
- Engaging students through a mix of lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions with industry examples.
- Collaborating with Dr. Damien Wilson, who will co-teach selected sessions, to ensure consistent course design and learning outcomes.
- Incorporating real-world examples from the wine industry to enhance student understanding of global market dynamics and strategy.

The course will be offered in an online flexible format.

Required Qualifications

To be recommended for appointment, the candidate must have:

- MBA or equivalent graduate degree in Business, Wine Business, Marketing, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated professional experience in wine or related industries, including leadership in global marketing, brand management, or strategic business operations.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, student engagement, and inclusive learning.

 

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior teaching experience at the university level.
- Familiarity with online instruction and curriculum development for graduate business programs.
- Strong industry connections and current knowledge of global wine business trends.
- Experience mentoring MBA students or working with executive education programs.

 

Rank and Salary

Full-time is a 15-unit workload per semester. Actual salary is dependent upon the number of units assigned, educational preparation, and availability of funds subject to any CSU system faculty contract salary increases.

  • Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
  • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month.
  • The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salary range indicated above is prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
  • Selection as a candidate in the applicant pool, does not guarantee employment. Temporary Faculty appointments are made on a part-time, temporary basis and contingent upon department needs and funding.
  • Temporary Faculty appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis.
  • Relocation expenses will not be provided for temporary faculty appointments.
  • Expenses incurred to attend an interview for temporary faculty positions are not reimbursed by the University.
